Now I’ve been to a ridiculous amount of T-Pain shows in my life.. but this one hands down took the cake. Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida held its annual Mardi Gras party that gives adventure go-ers a free concert every Saturday night in the month of April. As soon as I saw Pizzle on the line up, I had to go show my support. However, the show itself was bigger than i could imagine.
After it thunderstormed on us for hours, we waited 3 hours in front of the stage for Pain to light it up; literally. He came out to a crowd chanting his name and was wearing a blue ‘Autism Warrior’ t-shirt in support of his youngest son who does have Autism. The rest of his family was also spotted wearing the shirts in support of autism awareness. He performed his melody of smashes back to back, which I shouldn’t have to list cause I’ll be here all night listing them. One thing I always look forward to during a T-Pain set is the reaction the crowd has when they hear the beat to “I’m Sprung” drop or when everyones hands go up during “All I Do Is Win”. Everyone in the front row had waited hours and it was amazing how each one of them had their own story to why they were diehard T-Pain fans. Some traveled hours out, a little 8 year old girl begged her mom to take her for her ‘first concert’ and it was a beautiful night overall.
Check out a little recap of his set below and be on the look out as he’s constantly releasing new music.
Best Day Ever! One word to describe it….wow. Lituation. YesJulz! x NormaNow linked back up to bring back what’s becoming a staple of an event here in Miami between the duo. Held on the rooftop of Dream Hotel, the event boasted everything from beautiful women in little bikinis, to perhaps the best mojitos I’ve tasted in some time. The music was on point granted that you had local resident DJ’s such as Jun-Ill, DZA, and Reid Waters, as well as guest DJ’s such as DJ iamKITTENS, as well as Kittycash…but things turned up to a next level when Eccentrix Sounds took over. Julz & Norma brought out special guest, MADEINTYO, who went ahead and performed his hit single ‘Uber Everywhere”. Afterwards, the vibes kicked up. Julz decided to jump in the pool causing a wave of others to follow. All in all, it was a much needed dose of Hip-hop amongst the WMC/EDM/Ultra-heads that also swarmed the beach.
Shout out to my patna’dem @KashMcnificent for holding it down for OHH. #BlessUp.
Quentin Miller confirmed a relatively-unknown tale involving him and the Dream Chasers while chopping it up with DJ Vlad. During the interview, Vlad shows Miller an unreleased clip from his Taxstone interview where he revealed knowledge about Meek Mill confronting Miller at a Los Angeles Nike store. After reviewing the clip, Quentin admits “it’s true” before describing what all happened that day.
According to Miller, Meek Mill didn’t care for his statement denying he was Drake’s ghostwriter last Summer. “I shed blood in the Nike store,” Quentin confessed as he recalled getting confronted by the group who first wanted him to retract his claim in front of paparazzi. After telling them no, the Dream Chasers proceeded to beat him up as he made Meek Mill out to be a liar. “I’m not a street n***a so you can have it,” Miller states in reference to Meek. “You can have the tough title – that doesn’t do anything for me.”
In the Taxstone interview, the media insider also claimed Miller was beat up because he wouldn’t write for Meek Mill, a rumor the rapper wants no parts of. “I’m not going into detail about that,” he firmly stated.
